Ontario Ministry of Transportation Retains
VOI Training Group for 3-Year Province-wide Erosion and Sediment Control Training Initiative
Ontario MTO has retained VOI Training Group to be the training provider for their province-wide Erosion and Sediment Control training initiative. In total, more than 500 ministry staff from Head Office and all MTO regional offices will attend Erosion and Sediment Control training sessions in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Ministry staff will include management, design, policy, engineering, environmental, contract administration, inspection, and minor construction and maintenance personnel. Training sessions will consist of VOI Training Group’s Erosion and Sediment Control Practitioner (ESCP™) training course. Initial training sessions have been completed in each of MTO’s five regions – Northwest, Northeast, East, Central and West. Additional training sessions for each region will be delivered in the fall of 2016, and the spring and fall of 2017 and 2018.
To support MTO's Service Providers, VOI Training Group has scheduled additional Erosion and Sediment Control Practitioner (ESCP™) training sessions in each MTO region. This will provide the opportunity for engineering and environmental consultants, contractors and environmental regulators to benefit from the same training MTO staff receive.
Erosion and Sediment Control training sessions open for general registration in MTO’s regions for 2019 are:
Thunder Bay, ON. May 14-16, 2019
Newmarket, ON. May 22-24, 2019
London, ON. June 4-6, 2019
North Bay, ON. June 11-13, 2019
